Veles supports SCIM 2.0 for automated user and group provisioning through identity providers (IdP), such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. This allows administrators to manage access to Veles directly from their IdP, ensuring that user and group changes are synchronized in real time. SCIM integration in Veles enables centralized user lifecycle management, including automated user creation, updates, and deactivation.

Prerequisites

Enable SAML SSO as per Security: SAML SSO

Setup SCIM Provisioning

To set up automatic user provisioning and deprovisioning through your IdP, navigate to the Security section in Veles admin and click on “Enable SCIM Provisioning”.

A new table will come into view at the bottom of the screen. Click the button to “Generate New Token”. These will create a new token which will be used by your IdP for authentication purposes when the two services communicate.

You are now ready to set up your IdP to provision users and groups.
